With its doors just opening in the beginning of April, you will be right alongside Grand Strand locals as everybody is eager to try the various beers Independent Republic has to offer. Whether you want a light, easy beer to drink – such as the Nellie Light, or a darker stout oozing cherry flavors – like Buster’s Cherry Stout, you will be sure to find a beer that excites your taste buds and quenches your thirst. The best part about this new brewery is that right outback you will find an oceanfront beer garden.
Did someone say Yappy Hour? One of the many perks of this outdoor beer garden is that you can bring your dog with you! The Landing at the Boathouse and Independent Republic Brewing Company offer Yappy Hour on Wednesdays after work. There will be dog treats served by the mini Dachshund, Nellie, and even a dog beer, so now your best friend can join in on the fun! Of course, if you can’t make Yappy Hour, dogs are still welcome any day, except Sundays.
If you are wondering why your little furry friend isn’t allowed at the beer garden on Sundays, it is most certainly for their safety. On Sundays in the summer, the Boathouse offers Sunday Fundays which bring in large crowds of locals and visitors to listen to live music, sip on some ice cold beer, and enjoy the views as the sun sets over the intercostal waterway.
