Get In Early at the Brand-New Heirloom Bistro

Myrtle Beach’s extreme culinary scene got another boost.

Heirloom Bistro brings eclectic food made with farm-to-table ingredients to Northwoods Plaza. The result: A fusion sure to become a big draw in town. And the pricing structure is brand-new, too. Their tiered price-fixed menu offers a choice of dishes in your choice of 3-5 courses.

Open for lunch and dinner, Heirloom Bistro also offers an array of wines by the glass or bottle. Plus, beer and signature cocktails. Here’s a breakdown:

LUNCH: Light and Delicious

LUNCH: Light and delicious

Delight in the soup of the day, or choose from crisp, fresh salads, such as the Chinois Salad. It’s an Asian mix of cabbage, vegetables, and lettuce. Plus, peanuts and fried wonton noodles, with a creamy sesame dressing.

RECOMMENDED: The Grilled Sausage & Pepper Panini. It’s a mild sausage with bell peppers, onions, and fresh mozzarella on fresh-baked bread.

DINNER: Where the five-course feast happens

You’ve got your work cut out for you picking from these amazing choices for each course. Here is a pretty successful attempt.

  • Appetizer course: Colossal Shrimp Cocktail. Chilled wild Ecuadorian shrimp with Heirloom Bistro’s classic horseradish cocktail sauce.
  • Second course: Tuna Tartare. Enjoy Ahi tuna and diced beefsteak tomatoes, with sesame oil, ginger, and scallions.
  • Soup or salad: Classic Caesar Salad. It’s romaine lettuce, parmesan, and Italian herb croutons, tossed in creamy Caesar dressing.
  • Entree course: Black & Bleu Ribeye. Blackened prime ribeye with a stilton bleu cheese crust seared over roasted potatoes.
  • For dessert, Bourbon Pecan Pie à la mode.

RECOMMENDED: Burrata Board as an appetizer. Shrimp and Grits as an entree. And carrot cake for dessert.

WINES BY THE GLASS

Visitors flock to Heirloom Bistro to enjoy wine and time with friends. Try a glass of Italy’s Capolsado Moscato. Or a red such as Angeline Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley.

RECOMMENDED: Opt for a California red such as Decoy by Duckhorn Merlot. Or Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio, from California, for an alternate white.

WINES BY THE BOTTLE

Choose an Italian favorite white, such as Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco Superiore. Or, out of Napa, Newton “Unfiltered” Chardonnay. Red fans can also share a California Bernardus “Marinus” (2014).

RECOMMENDED: A full-bodied red. Try Ovis Cabernet Sauvignon (2016). Or the fresh and fruity Banfi Chianti Superiore.

With your meal or as a nightcap, choose a regional headliner. Try a Dirty Myrtle Double IPA (New South Brewery). Or, South to Somewhere Golden Ale (Crooked Hammock Brewery). Heirloom Bisto serves domestic choices (Miller Lite, Yuengling) and imports (Peroni, Stella Artois).

And check out the Heirloom Bistro’s signature cocktails. The Smokey Diplomat and PB&J Old Fashioned sound incredible. Alternatively, you can take the Johnny Walker flight in black, red, green, and blue.
