Enjoy an unique opportunity to both pursue their passion and track down some handmade craft creations — all while supporting a great cause!
Set for Sunday, February 10, 2019, at the General Robert H. Reed Recreation Center (formerly known as Base Recreation Center) in The Market Common, the 5th Annual Craft Show will serve as both a place where local artists and crafters can exhibit and sell their goods, and a way to stock the shelves at the Myrtle Beach Branch of the Lowcountry Food Bank, supporting the organization’s mission to feed the hungry in the area.
Both vendors and attendees at the event, to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., gain admission by donating food items (for families and/or pets) to benefit the food bank. In past years, dozens of vendors and hundreds of attendees have shown up to display their goods, shop for handmade treasures and support the great cause.
This year’s event is expected to be even larger, with roughly 100 vendors selling handmade wares such as pottery, paintings, clothing, quilts, glass, woodworks and jewelry. Last year’s event raised nearly 5,000 pounds of food with more than 1,600 guests attending — and organizers are hoping to eclipse both of those figures with the event’s 2019 edition.
