Got running on the brain?
Especially a cool-weather fall run … in Myrtle Beach? This is the post for you. As the weather cools, running conditions improve everywhere. But only one place is the Grand Strand.
Reward yourself for all that quality training with a running trip to the coast.
Look at these exciting tidbits about running. Did you know this?
Ethiopian distance runner Kenenisa Bekele ran a 5K in 12 minutes, 37.35 seconds in 2004. That’s a pace of 4:03 per mile!
We’re fast, but not the fleetest. Humans are faster than three animals which might surprise you. They are the domestic pig, elephant, and squirrel.
Most runners can cross the finish line in 30-40 minutes. Walkers average about 45-60 minutes in a 5K.
Confession time: Do you run the race for the accomplishment or the cool shirts and medals? Some of these events deliver big-time on all those.
